The digitalSTROM weather station records wind speed, outdoor temperature and brightness and automatically transmits the measured values to the digitalSTROM system. In the event of an approaching storm, the roller shutters automatically go up and the awnings retract. At a certain brightness or temperature, roller shutters go up or down to provide additional warmth or cooling.

Suddenly the sun is not hiding behind the clouds any longer. The Weather Station promptly senses and sends the new sun brightness and outside temperature values to the digitalSTROM system. By analyzing present data, the system activates conditional responses of the shading devices. In winter, it raises the shutters, so extra light and warmth enter the house. In summer, it lowers the shutters and rolls the awnings out so that the house can take advantage of the better insulation.

Heating and ventilation system and Weather Station: use the power of the sun for more comfort and sustainability
Suddenly the sun is not hiding behind the clouds any longer. The Weather Station promptly senses and sends the new sun brightness and outside temperature values to the digitalSTROM system. By analyzing present data, the central system activates conditional responses of the heating and ventilation system. On sunny winter days, while the raised shutters allow for more light and warmth to enter the house, it shuts off or adjusts the heating levels to lesser levels. In summer, following the programmed lowered shutters for better isolation, it reduces the air exchange with the outside and, if necessary, switches on the air conditioner.
